WIndies skin Tigers to allow Bish 2 to recover from jet lag..

(CMC) - It was a nothing short of a rout today as the Windies team mauled the Tigers in a match lasting just over 31 overs. In what was expected to be a tight contest, Bangladesh's batsmen displayed a wide array of poor shots and ended up with the lowest score of the 2011 World Cup and their own lowest ever score in ODIs - 58 all out.

Asked what inspired them, to a man the West Indians said they wanted to ensure that newly arrived fast bowler, Devendra Bishoo, would not have to play almost right after stepping off the plane.

"He only just came yesterday and so the team thought it best to allow him to recover from the jet lag, however he refused to rest, insisting that he wanted to stay up to watch the team. So in a team meeting just before the match we decided we just had to win quickly so that Bish would have no excuse but to get the sleep that was recommended for him" said captain Darren Sammy.

Chris Gayle was delighted to have won but also expressed similar sentiments regarding Bishoo's passion which inspired the team to such a resounding win. "Yeah, we were really surprised that after the long flight, Bishoo didn't catch a nap, so we were a bit worried for him actually. Now that it's all over I think we will all get some rest before practice tomorrow."

Kemar Roach, man-of-the-match for the second time in a row, said that the team was inspired by both Dwayne Bravo and Bishoo's dedication and also hinted that the senior Bravo brother may also have been staying up to watch after arriving back home in the West Indies. "Big Bro has been so talisman-like for the team and it just didn't seem right that after hours on the plane going back home that he would have to sit up half the day watching the match - so we were determined to finish it quickly so that he too could get some sleep to recover from the jet lag and determined to win it so he  would have to go to sleep upset."

West Indies and Bangladesh now have a week's break before their next engagements.

Success does not consist in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.
