Carib Bears finished third in the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board PowerPlay Twenty20 after their third-place playoff against Trini Posse was abandoned without a ball bowled at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain yesterday.
Carib, who lost their first match to Petrotrin on Friday night, had a higher net run rate than Trini Posse, who were beaten by Angostura White Oak on the opening night and pocketed $8,000 for placing third.
Trini Posse walked away with $3,000 for finishing last in the four-team tournament.
The Rayad Emrit-led Angostura White Oak will take on Daren Ganga's Petrotrin franchise in the tournament final at 2:30 p.m. today.
