Darren Sammy has been in for the injured Bravo all-rounder for all-rounder Travis came in for Xavier Marshall.

Yeah I saw this on the Stanford site as well. What happened to Marshall?

Sammy is a logical replacement for Bravo actually. Not that it may count for much, but from the 7 trial matches, Sammy's stats  (as I compiled them in an earlier thread) were fairly similar to Bravo's anyway: Sammy had an average of 24 runs at the bat to Bravo's 16 (both having strike rates over 100); their bowling figures (economy rate and bowling average) was about the same and both essentially managed to make a catch or effect a run-out in every match they played so their fielding wasn't bad.

Congrats to Sammy and Dowlin for making the team.

Also it seems that the Stanford XI (well Stanford XVII) will have a training camp for 6 weeks starting from September 18th to October 25th........could this possibly have affected the availability of players for the WI which may have lead to dithering of the WI board in signing the MOU as Calypso herself pointed out in a linked article?

Success does not consist in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.
