National medium pacer Esuan Crandon showed no signs of a side strain which kept him out of Guyana’s last match against Barbados during an impressive 10-over spell yesterday at Bourda as the two-day practice match ended in a draw.
The 29-year-old Rose Hall Town player captured 4-18 as Leon Johnson’s X1, replying to Veerasammy Peramul’s X1 218, declared at 158-7 from an overnight position of 27-1 as Johnson (40) and Royston Crandon (39) both failed to build on good starts on a slow track and sluggish outfield.
When play ended in fading light, Permaul’s X1, behind by 60 runs, were 48-1 after Shemroy Barrington, who top scored with 64 in the first innings was caught and bowled by former National under-19 off-spinner Steven Latcha…
