For the Windians who are wont to cuss Shiv for being selfish...they should ask, if it wasn't for his selfishness, would the WI be remotely competitive in this test? Look at how they cussed him for Bravo's runout when he wasn't even contemplating a single, and for abandoning the strike on the last over. Now when Bravo ran out Kirk, there was only muted condemnation, why? In the end they were elated that he did not get the century? Why? Is there an English supporter who would not want an Englishman to score a century?
Now the reasoning is simply Windian. They do not identify with Shiv representing the Windies because he is of Indian heritage. And he is busy wiping out the records of all the greats although they don't condiser him good enough. There is no other way for us to explain the putrid hatred of a player of this caliber. And the sad fact is that soms of these people are very much involved in the administration and selection process in WI cricket.
